WHILE it is understandable that an organisation would like to celebrate a successful year in business, there are better ways of doing it than sending 999 pieces of potentially damaging pieces of plastic over the skies of Yorkshire (The Press, February 24).
If I find one of these balloons containing cash, the money will go towards buying more litter-picks for the regular cleans we carry out at Robin Hood’s Bay.
The next beach clean is on March 14, meeting at the slipway at 11.30am to which everyone is welcome. Hopefully we won’t be picking up any of these balloons.
