THE Reynard’s Garage site in Piccadilly has been an eyesore for as long as I can remember.

Matthew Laverack in his letter of February 12 refers to the fact that some time ago, James Alexander our former council leader stated that the site had been sold, and could not therefore be transferred to the Yorkshire Air Museum to create a visitor attraction.

I fear it is unlikely that we shall hear from Mr Alexander to confirm or deny this, now that he has now gone to assist Ed Miliband.

I note also that The Press no longer appears to receive regular communications from him, and I assume this must have left a void in the editor’s mailbag.
