I AGREE with Mary Simpson (Letters, January 22). Bootham Park Hospital is an old and outdated building.
I have had cause to visit a relative there on numerous occasions over the past 30 years. The care given to the patients and the support to the families has always impressed me. I have always found the staff to be hard-working and caring. The building, not the staff, should be criticised.
The building is the responsibility of the Government, the staff for the care. They need all the support they can get. not criticism.
