MAY I write in support of J W Moody’s letter. The present council are in danger of going down in history as the council that killed professional rugby league in York.
York has always been known as a RL city, look at how many amateur clubs we have and the sterling work they do.
Those local lads aspire to be good enough to turn professional and play for their home town club.
This council should keep its promise and all parties should stop this petty name calling.
After all, the club is in the name. York Community Stadium. Not York City FC Stadium.
Allan Brown, Southdown Road, Huntington, York.
