WHAT is the point of City of York Council having budgets if they just increase their borrowings, in other words debts, when they need extra money for infrastructure projects (The Press, December 18)?
This is irresponsible financial management, increasing annual debt interest charges, and is stoking up financial meltdown for others to try and sort out, and leaving an unacceptable legacy of debt for future ratepayers.
