READING that bin collections could be reduced by City of York Council to once every four weeks (The Press, December 10), I recall also reading that rodent and pest control operations within the council could be reduced.
Could I suggest that this not to be the way forward. With the build-up of rubbish left for such a long time, this service is going to be needed and these important officers within this service will in all likelihood have to widen their operations within the city.
