I HAVE just read the review by Charles Hutchinson on Cinderella at the Grand Opera House and felt I had to write in its defence.

I attended with my five-year-old granddaughter and she thoroughly enjoyed the show, especially Buttons.

The panto is aimed at entertaining children, which after all, is what a panto is all about, but having said that, I am a senior citizen and thought it was a great production which seemed to be enjoyed by young and old.

Perhaps the reviewer should consult a panel of children in future before he puts his comments to print.
