On behalf of Foxwood Community Centre and Foxwood Residents’ Association, we thank the teams of volunteers from businesses throughout the City of York.

For three action-packed days, they came together under the York Cares banner to give the outside space at Foxwood Community Centre a much needed makeover.

The weather could have been better but the volunteers set about their tasks cheerfully, producing a remarkable transformation.

We count ourselves lucky to have been selected to receive The Big Community Challenge this year. Any organisation selected in future should grab the opportunity whole-heartedly. Be prepared to be amazed.
