IT IS interesting to note that the Government is proposing the sell-off yet another British asset (a share of the Eurostar) – no doubt, from previous experience, at a ‘knock down’ price, as with the Royal Mail debacle.

If, as suggested, this would raise something like £20 billion, then that should be the ‘starting price’ from prospective bidders. After all, if they wish to make money, there is now little left that they could sell.
