JUST over five weeks ago, ten minutes after the opening time for Lendal Bridge refund applications, I submitted mine online and received an acknowledgement almost immediately.
I estimate the process of identifying my case and printing the resultant cheque should have taken about four minutes, but so far I have received nothing. Now that City of York Council may have to re-evaluate some of its current policies, I may eventually receive nothing in future.
I am puzzled, however. Is the fact that I’ve received no refund in five weeks due to incompetence, or did someone five weeks ago have an inkling that the policy was going to be scrapped anyway? Could any reader enlighten me?
