RESIDENTS in our area in Lawrence Street often have letters put through their doors about putting out their refuse and recycling before 7pm the night before collections. Our latest letter tells us that we would be fined if we don’t adhere to this.
Why is it then that recently our collections have not been collected until two or three days later than they should, leading to black bags breaking open and recycling blowing down the street?
Will the council be fined for not collecting on time? I think not.
