I WAS in Scotland from September 15 to 19 and met many people for and against independence.

All the farmers said “no thanks” and in urban areas were many “yeses”.

People in shops were the most concerned and businesses feeling taxes would soar to pay for everything.

A Filey shop assistant who had been in Scotland 30 years, married to a farm manager, said her husband was worried about losing the EU subsidy and his job.

The “yeses” I talked to gave very flimsy answers – a vote for common sense prevailed.

The “three stooges” Cameron, Clegg and Milliband did the world of good showing true dedication to their fellow Brits.

Alex Salmond’s taunts saying he would have paid the “three stooges” bus fares if he had known, shows what a foolish power-grabber he is.
