THE RSPCA informs The Press that causing unnecessary suffering to a protected animal ie a tethered horse, is a criminal actoffence with a maximum sentence of six months in prison and/or a £20,000 fine (Horse in stabbing put down, September 23).
In my humble opinion any cruel, sadistic, moron that goes around stabbing innocent, tethered horses, won’t be in a position to pay a £20,000 fine, so I would urge magistrates and judges to forget the fines and to make six months read six years.
