YORK’S 2013 population was 201,200. The Office for National Statistics (ONS) estimates this will increase by 20,000 in the next 15 years.
David Levine has been quoted on a local website saying it is 40,000. Eh?
The Local Plan has now reduced the proposed number of new homes to 16,980. So that’s 1.17 people per house?
Merrett and Levine were emailed for clarification last week, but they haven’t bothered to reply.
I’ll be voting UKIP in May for independent councillors, transparency and basic maths skills in my beautiful city.
