DOES anyone else think more regulations are needed to stop employment agencies exploiting the unemployed and giving a free licence to companies to treat people unfairly?

I have seen this time and again.

My son has experienced this. Only this week several people were told after two weeks that they were being laid off due to lack of work, only to see the same company advertising for permanent staff.

My son was told he would be taken on permanently after three months. He had hope yet again. How is that right?

These companies take the unemployed, give them false hope and get rid of them with a few hours’ notice and take more staff the next day, thus avoiding paying the agencies a finders’ fee and giving a person a proper contract.

How are the young people of today supposed to have any hope for the future?

In three years my son has got up for work, never been late, never rung in sick, stayed over when necessary, driven through snow, spending petrol money travelling in some instances nearly 60 miles a day, in hope of a full-time contract, but he never gives up.

He has worked at various places for months on end, but as soon as he asks if there is a chance of a contract, the work suddenly dries up.

All he wants is a job! How can he ever leave home, without a regular wage?
