THE ludicrous allegation by the right-wing media that the EU wants to ban kettles is piffle disguised as journalism. Only the gullible would fall for it.
In truth, a report has been called for on the use and efficiency of electrical goods, with kettles, and their seemingly planned obsolescence, being used as an example.
Surely this can only be beneficial and any allegations of interference are unfounded?
Indeed, it is more than four years since we adopted any new EU laws and in the same time, that we infringed them.
