WHATEVER is happening to the maintenance or lack of it along stretches of Hull Road, especially the area in front of the Co-op supermarket?
Is this a road or is it a country meadow?
The number of weeds – oops – wild flowers are ever increasing.
I have spotted at least ten different varieties, anything from good old clover to poppies and chamomile have settled in the gutter there.
I suggest the council declares it an area of outstanding natural beauty and apply for grants to increase and nurture the plant population and then add the area as a must-see attraction.
Only joking, but honestly, what on earth must all the visitors think witnessing the neglect when arriving on coaches from ferries in Hull, or driving along what is a main route to the tourist city of York?
Welcome to York? I think not. Get it cleaned up, please.
