THIS behaviour among firefighters, police and paramedics should be a disciplinary offence (Police officer apologises after crash scene selfies, The Press, August 29). It should be stamped out at the earliest opportunity.
At their stations or public events, such behaviour might be okay, but not after an incident. If this sort of behaviour continues, people will start to think again about calling on these services, if that is the state of their professionalism.
Chief constables, chief fire officers and the heads of the ambulance service should tell their staff to work as the professional people we know they are.
