THERE must be a law initiated (if it doesn’t already exist) to hold accountable those in public office who fail to fulfil their remit. The electorate must have the authority to dismiss any individual lacking in skill, will, or ability to do their job.
In the Army you could be dishonourably discharged with no recourse. No further pay, no pension. Surely we can apply these conditions to the officials who were so lacking in the case of the 1,400 victims of sex abuse in Rotherham.
This situation really makes my blood boil. Enough is enough.
