TOWARDS the end of June, I used the letters page to ask when the roadworks at the A1237/A59 roundabout would be completed.
At that time they had overrun by two months. Nobody from the council or the contractors had the decency to respond. It is now nearly the end of August. I can report that the cones have been removed and the speed limits lifted, nearly four months after the intended finish time.
I’d like to thank City of York Council for another wholly unsuccessfully executed project.
