WHY does James Alexander always have to have the last word (Letters, August 20) when an opposition councillor says something he doesn’t agree with?

He is sad that he suffers personal attacks, but in his position he is going to get that – the same as other council leaders have in the past.

Yet he never complains when Tracey Simpson-Laing, David Horton, Sonja Crisp or Sandy Fraser (to name but a few) do the self-same thing to opposition councillors.

It proves again that Labour can do what they want and say what they want and nobody else is allowed to comment.
