ONE OF the most common things residents tell me is that the Labour-run City of York Council does not listen to them.

This is why, through our York 2015 initiative, we want to develop our local manifesto hand-in-hand with residents.

We want to hear your ideas to ensure we have the very best policies to stand on at next year’s local elections and we tackle the issues that really matter to local people.

We want your thoughts on how the council after 2015 can best address issues such as congestion, helping local businesses, improving local services, increasing recycling or anything else that matters to local people.

The best policies will then be included in our manifesto and, if the election results go our way next May, work on implementing your ideas can begin in earnest.

So, however big or small the idea, please tell us by visiting yorklibdems.org.uk/york2015, emailing us at york2015@yorklibdems.org.uk or by writing to us at ‘York 2015’ York Liberal Democrats, Unit 12A Victoria Farm Estate, Water Lane, Clifton, YO30 6PQ.

I look forward to reading your ideas.

Cllr Keith Aspden, Leader of York Liberal Democrats, City of York Council.
