Under scrutiny
IN REPLY to Cllr James Alexander (Letters, August 20), part of being an elected member of the council is to be questioned on your opinions; if Cllr Alexander finds this upsetting he’s in the wrong job.
His repeated mantra “homes for hard-working families” would be more convincing if he and his party had not sanctioned so many houses going into student accommodation, and no longer available for “hard-working families”.
