LIKE Chris Wilks (Letters, August 15) I too was initially surprised and then baffled at not hearing Barry and Sharon presenting the York City match on BBC Radio York.

I too was waiting for some explanation as to their absence. For me their commitment, dedication, loyalty and enthusiasm for York City over the past few years has been a pleasure to hear.

I hope there will be many City fans who think the same way and call for their reinstatement or at the least a truthful explanation for their absence.
