Party represents

First published in Letters by

“Who does UKIP really represent?” Was the headline for Christian Vassie’s letter of August 8.

Well, it represents me, for one. It is the only one of the mainline parties that genuinely wants our country out of the EU.

I feel sorry for someone whose hobby is studying the voting records of MEPs.

Personally, I only want my fellow countrymen and women to be the ones who pass the laws and create the policies under which I live.

I feel sorry for someone who believes the rubbish UKIP come out with.

They've got their hands on the cash now Mr Robb, they'll be too busy snatching all they can to help the likes of you.

If they represent your views, (and probably others too) then they aren't doing a very good job of putting yours and others 'representations' into any constructive use by NOT voting or even sometimes not even turning up to vote on the issues.
Surely, you and the others who claim they 'represent' you, should be asking why they do not either vote according to your wishes? Or propose an alternative policy for the other parties to vote upon. Instead they elect to stay in bed and do nothing! Not my idea of the ideal party to represent me I'm afraid.

The kippers a 'mainline party'? Considering the number of MP's they have, or are ever likely to have, 'flatline party' would be a more accurate description.

I wonder if Mr Robb appreciates the great buda's pity? I am sure it is sincerely offered.

Well, the majority of your fellow countrymen and women rejected UKIP, so by your own logic you should be content to be part of the EU.
