THIS country like others have held commemorative services for the start of the First World War in 1914 and remembered all the young men who fought and died in dreadful conditions.

This was the war to end all wars, so they said. Since then how many wars and conflicts has this sad world seen?

How many millions of innocent children, women and men have died or been dispersed since that war ended?

Will man never learn that life is a precious gift given to everyone and bombs and bullets never settle anything, but just cause more hatred and grief.
