I OFTEN agree with comments from Matthew Laverack.

However. I do not agree with his suggestion of conversion to residential use of the Stonebow Tower so that residents can enjoy the views. The same argument could be made for the hideous tower block in the centre of Bridlington if that was in a similar situation and not currently in residential use.

The picture in The Press of July 24 prior to the building of Stonebow House makes the case for total removal of the building and associated structures without further debate.

After clearance the area should be landscaped but could include peripheral spaces for the bus stops and taxi stands. This may be a great opportunity to improve the cityscape with benefits to residents and visitors.
