THE Government has given the green light to let firms submit contracts for the widespread exploration for underground shale oil and gas reserves.
It’s a question of how many people would want pipe drilling under their houses to extract this type of power.
And do people want an enormous building that shows the drilling taking place, just like when the mines were in operation? You had cages going down the pit shaft, and coming back up again.
One good thing that will come out of this, it will create a lot of jobs. There will be a lot of ifs and buts concerning this matter, but in the areas where they get a licence to drill, then this hopefully will help people to get some form of employment in this new kind of business.
