SINCE reading in The Press earlier in the year that poppy seeds were being planted on certain stretches of grass area along Poppleton Road, I have watched the progress with interest.
For many weeks as I have driven by, I have wondered if this experiment was going to be successful, but am now thrilled to see the wonderful display which has developed.
Even after recent heavy downpours the meadow is still a joy to behold. I realise this plan was originally to commemorate the First World War, but wonder if it could remain for future years?
