SO COUNCIL leader James Alexander has decided to refund the many people who were fined for crossing Lendal Bridge during the trial period.
That sounds very fair of him, but only if the members of the public who were caught out apply for a refund.
Why doesn’t the council contact people who were fined as a gesture of goodwill?
Cllr Alexander says he wants to “draw a line under the matter” – I bet he does. It’s another mistake this council has made.
