Fact of history
I THINK the letters editor was quite right to substitute ‘Nazis’ for ‘Germans’ in the letter from Mary Machen (Letters, July 15).
It was Germans we fought. The way history washes over this as though it was another race of people altogether is ridiculous.
The Germans of today are another generation, but it was their ancestors, so but let’s not confuse history.
