COUNCILLOR Tracey Simpson-Laing (Letters, July 7) complains that house prices are too high.
Was it her party that introduced the 50 per cent affordable housing target that the house building industry could not implement? So, they simply shut the industry down.
As a result very few new houses were built – hence the prices of all the other houses went up. She has only her fellow politicians to blame.
