Great for savers

Great for savers

I AM sure everyone is rejoicing at the wonderful news that we can now put £15,000 into a tax-free ISA every year. This will boost our pensions on retirement.

Along with taking thousands of people out of paying income tax, we will all be feeling better off for sure, just a handful of people who have never earned enough to pay tax along with those who have to live on less than £15,000 a year, but they don’t matter so long as they get to vote in a referendum in three years, which is all they think about as they queue for free food.

The biggest problem with The new £15K ISA is that thanks to ultra low interest rates since 2008, (Politically induced) many of our savers have had to spend their Capital and can no longer benefit from the new limit. So, this move is a bit late and only benefits the wealthy, not the long suffering saver.
What happened to John Major's thrift policy?
