LAST year in Berlin, my children chose to visit the computer games museum. It was great fun.

I’m not always a huge fan of gaming since it can be a time waster. Yet the games museum was a trip down memory lane with the likes of Pong, Tetrus, Pac Man, Asteroid, Space Invaders, Pokemon and so on all on display.

Beautiful illustrations, models, videos with the designers, fun hands on equipment, quizzes and applications for health and recovery are all there too. I recommend it. The children were really happy and we all enjoyed ourselves for hours.

With seven million visitors a year, I know this idea would work in York, so I’m putting it out there.

Anyone up for opening it? I can’t do it myself, but am tempted to offer to invest in anyone who can put together a business plan.

York will soon have the fastest broadband speeds in the country. A gigabit city gaming museum would add to our offer for families.
