Badge bodge-up

I HAVE just received the card with details of the new charge for the Minster Badge – a nice extra pick-up for the council on top of our council tax.

It takes no account of the fact that a lot of people (especially the elderly) do not have computers or access to them.

So we have to go to our local library or our new council offices and have them do it online for us when we handover our £20 – but not yet as the system is not yet set up!

No mention of how the disabled can obtain the Minster Badge. Another council cock-up.

Never mind the Grand Depart cycle race, it will be a Grand Depart for the present council come the local elections next year.

I wonder which party's letter-writing campaign Jean is part of?

I'm sure her complaint is legitimate, but the tangential departure into the language of the internet comments column trolls gives the game away.

I really don't want to vote Labour next year, but these outraged letters from concerned citizens make me want to vomit and then vote Labour just to spite them.
