I WELCOME the arrival of the electric buses to the streets of York, as I am sure would most of the population.
If this means that some of the older buses are to be removed from our streets, could I ask that the buses with their exhaust pipe placed on their near sides be the ones to get the chop.
When a cyclist or a pedestrian is passed by one of these vehicles they get the full effects of these badly placed exhaust pipes, thus getting more than their fair share of exhaust pollution in one quick dose.
Why they were designed this way is beyond belief.
