What a fiasco
IT IS no wonder that councillors Alexander and Merrett do not want an inquiry into the Lendal Bridge fiasco (Lendal Bridge Inquiry Opposed, The Press, June 5) as they were the main perpetrators of this ill thought out idea.
It is amazing how these two have kept their positions on the council, Merrett being moved to another post with a fancy title and Alexander writing the odd letter to The Press and the usual photo shoots.
In any other workplace they would be either out of a job or demoted. You couldn't make it up.
