CARERS Week (June 9 to 15) celebrates the valuable contribution made by the UK’s 6.5 million unpaid carers who look after an ill, frail or disabled family member or friend.
Carers Week is a chance to reach people who might not think that they are carers and who miss out on valuable support.
If you are a carer, or you know a carer, call in and have a chat with York Carers Centre on their tour bus, parked in Parliament Street all day on Wednesday, June 11.
There will be lots of information about activities and support for carers.
People who care for someone with a drugs or alcohol problem are particularly welcome.
There are also lots of other events taking place during the Carers Week – find out more on York Carers Centre’s website or phone 01904 715490.
