LET me correct Jeremy D Fox, who seems to be living in a world of his own creation, as seen in his letter (Wild threats, January 4).

The League Against Cruel Sports has never "allowed the Government to slaughter more than 11,000 badgers".

Firstly, we would under no circumstances condone the unnecessary culling of badgers and, secondly, we are no more able to control the Government's actions than any other charity.

Just in case Mr Fox remains confused, let me repeat that the League Against Cruel Sports does not support the mass culling of badgers.
