Thanks, Sir Alex

Published in Letters by

DAVID Moyes, who was hand picked by Sir Alex Ferguson to succeed him as manager of Manchester United, has come in for a lot of criticism but he has given me an enormous amount of pleasure and I wish they had let him stay until the end of his contract and beyond.

Sir Alex is going to help in finding a successor to Moyes; I hope he does as good a job as last time.

B. Emmerson, Charles Street, Selby.

Seriously? It takes an abundance of spare time and lack of hobbies to write such an irrelevant letter. And no, I'm not a Man U supporter. I'm a supporter of having a hobby....

Has it never occurred to anyone that the 'Chosen One' may have been picked by Furguson with full knowledge that he was not up to the job, to make the Scotsman appear even more irreplaceable.
