UNLESS pushed to the brink, I avoid writing about grammar. Grammar is like driving: other people do it so badly and simply won’t be told.
Still, I am stumped by the return of former pupils to teach being described as “déjà vu on a grand scale (Comment, April 23).
This is even odder than the phrase as reported on page seven of the same issue. I can well believe that the editorial staff of The Press “can’t think of anything like this before”.
Moi non plus.
