THE former Culture Secretary, Maria Miller, finally quit after a battle to keep her job.
Now some MPs are calling for her not to accept any sort of pay off. It is still the outdated practice to pay off minister when they return to the back benches.
Too many MPs have yet to come to terms with the expenses scandal of a few years ago, even though some MPs ended up going to prison.
MPs should realise that the public pays their wages; and it is the public that pays any such severance money. Let’s hope Mrs Miller doesn’t receive any.
