THE next meeting of the Yorkshire & North East Branch of the Elgar Society will be on Saturday, April 26, from 2 to 4 pm in the Bar Convent, Blossom Street.
The programme will be an informal lecture recital with Josephine Peach (piano) and Amanda Crawley (soprano) and will feature music by Elgar and his contemporaries written at the time of the First World War.
Admission is free and non members are welcome and there is an optional charge of £3 for refreshments.
