HOLY smoke. The pollution has returned to Lendal Bridge.

Actually there is nothing holy about it, just toxic fumes that the rest of us spend our lives trying to avoid.

There seem to be fewer cars on the bridge this time.

Maybe drivers have found something better to do with their time and money than sit in a car all day.

One café told me there has been little change in customer numbers, as most are on bus tours.

In fact if you look at Gillygate coach park in the summer months there are coaches from all over the world stood side by side.

That is progress!
