I MUST say how tired I am at the vast amount of comments in your letters column about the closure of Lendal Bridge. Surely there are more important subjects to debate than the closure of one bridge.
I have never found any problems travelling through other roads in York since its closure, and I hope this debate in your columns will soon cease.
Can anyone remember the furore there was over the closure of Coney Street and Goodramgate many years ago to most transport, and how nice it is now to walk without fear along these areas.
James Alexander and his team have made great efforts to improve our beautiful city of York and while I am on about it, I deplore the vast number of opposition councillor letters trying to make political gains over the bridge closure.
