Coun Alexander says ‘we’ve listened’ but, as in the Clarence Street car park debacle, I’m afraid this is not true – they were forced into a U-turn for legal reasons.
I have voted Labour for nearly 50 years.
But this is the most undemocratic council I can remember, so I will not vote for them again while they are led by James Alexander.
So who else is there?
At least they did not alter the traffic lights to smooth the journey for a relative’s wedding party, as the previous administration did.
And in all conscience I could not vote for a party that taxes disabled people for having a spare room for a carer, so can a decent Independent, someone like Mark Warters please stand at this side of York.
