WHAT is it about car drivers these days?

In recent weeks I have seen two cars driving the wrong way down Davygate.

I showed the drivers how to get out the right way, but they only wanted to go further in, to see how many foot streets they could move into. I felt like shouting “get out of the bloody car.”

Makes you wonder if motorists have got two legs. Some of them don’t seem to have much in the brain department.

On another day I was watching that rather splendid jazz group that play in the town centre. They had a huge crowd around them, but a woman motorist thought nothing of driving through the middle of the crowd and scattering them.

It seems the more cars we get rid of, the better the city centre is.
