SO A YOUNG injured serviceman was refused entry to Yates bar in York city centre because he was told he was dressed too casually.
This does not surprise me in the slightest. Some of the sights encountered in the city’s pubs are remarkable for the “dress code” chosen.
If you look like a super hero or a Teenage Mutant Ninja (asking people for their cash on the streets) you are seemingly admitted.
Not though if you have chosen to try and better the lives of those much less fortunate by becoming a member of HM Armed Forces like this young lad did and was injured by an improvised explosive device in Afghanistan. What a welcome home for this chap and his friends!
