Strategy question

York Press: Strategy question Strategy question

I AM sure that this council has a comprehensive, considered and well-devised, long-term traffic strategy.

If they would be kind enough to share it, perhaps we would all stop complaining about the short-term pain as we would be able to see the long-term gain.

I wait to be enlightened.

Simon Wallace, Holgate Road, York.

Have been cycling around the City this week. I must say that the traffic volumes during morning rush hour (Groves to Hull Road, Groves to Fulford, Groves to Poppleton Road and Groves to South Bank) are no worse now than when I used to cycle/drive these routes regularly. I appreciate traffic may have moved to other routes, to avoid various restrictions, but I have been genuinely surprised by this.

Haha, sorry I can't stop laughing. That is hilarious.

At best the strategy can only possibly be the complete and utter eradication of all traffic and visitors to York

They do have a strategy. Get rid of all of the cars and the people who drive them.

Hi, sorry for late response, just back from a long weekend in Plymouth - I always keep my eyes wide open when I cycle. That way I can see what's really going on and comment accordingly.
