HAVE any runners in York missed out on a place in the BUPA Great North Run?

Heart Research UK is a Yorkshire-based national charity that funds pioneering research into heart disease as well as encouraging people to live a heart-healthy lifestyle. We have guaranteed places still available for the world’s biggest half marathon.

This year’s BUPA Great North Run is on Sunday, September 7, the entry fee is £50 and we ask runners to commit to raising a minimum of £350. Or if you are lucky enough to get a ballot place, you can still join our team.

Heart Research UK will support you along the way with plenty of fundraising ideas and meet you at the finishing line.

Heart Disease is still the biggest killer in the UK, yet many cases are potentially preventable. Treatments continue to develop, but mortality rates are still too high and that’s why we need help to continue our work.

Runners can apply by completing the application form at heartresearch.org.uk/events/gnr
